Great location and good value for money. The rooms were clean and well-decorated, with a fenced-in garden for our dog. The log burning stove created a cozy atmosphere on a stormy evening. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well-equipped. The view from the windows was lovely. it was a quiet and peaceful place to stay.
There were a few issues during our stay. We found ant powder on the floor, which was concerning, especially since it was right outside the children's bedroom.

The views from the windows were jaw-dropping and the fenced garden was perfect for our dog's playtime. The owners were incredibly accommodating, allowing us to leave our luggage and even providing lovely gifts upon arrival. The place was spotless and the facilities, like the Nespresso machine and log burning stove, were fantastic. The location was quiet and convenient, just 15 minutes from a nearby town. Comfy beds, well-equipped kitchen, and a luxurious ensuite on the third floor. We're definitely coming back!

I had a truly wonderful stay at Cheviots Cottage. The space and design of the house were fantastic, and it felt clean and well-decorated. The views from the windows were breathtaking, and there was a lovely garden for my dog to play in. The owners were incredibly accommodating and the communication was prompt and friendly. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything I needed, and the complimentary bottle of Prosecco was a thoughtful touch. The beds were comfortable and the overall setting was beautiful. I would definitely recommend this property to others and would love to visit again in the future.
Although it was a fantastic stay, there were a few minor drawbacks. The creaky floorboards on the middle floor were quite loud, which could be a concern for families with younger children.
